The Telegram bot speaks when spoken to
In a group chat the bot now answers only the messages meant for it — a mention, or a reply to one of its messages — and every conversation it has is kept where the studio's staff can read it back.
ImprovedTelegram**The bot answers only when you talk to it.** In a group it used to answer every message, people talking to each other included. Now it answers a message that mentions it, a reply to one of its own messages, and its commands (**/id**, **/help**, **/problem**); everything else it leaves alone. To answer a question it asked you, reply to that question. In a direct message every message is still for it.
NewTelegram**Every conversation with the bot is kept.** **Settings → Telegram → Conversations** shows what was asked, what the bot answered, the ticket or post each answer made, what it looked up in the production to get there, and why an answer failed when one did. A ticket filed from Telegram links to the conversation it came from on the support desk. Messages in a group that were not addressed to the bot are neither read nor kept.
FixedTelegram**A busy chat is no longer told it has gone quiet.** The message the bot writes after a day of silence now counts everyone's messages, not only the ones sent to it, and says how to reach it.
