A button that cannot act yet takes you to what holds it
Press something the project isn't ready for and the studio opens the screen where the hold is lifted, with the control to press ringed and named — the same yellow ring the first-scene guide draws. A photograph of a makeup condition over 12 MB is made smaller on the way in instead of being turned away, and a picture that cannot be added says so under the button you pressed.
ImprovedStudioA button that cannot act yet takes you to what holds it. Instead of sitting greyed out, it opens the screen where the hold is lifted and rings the control there, with a tag: Full Pre-Production before approval → the Producer's Approve first; a timeline block waiting on a shot list → the Director's Prep the scene first for that scene; one waiting on a Character set → Casting's Character set first; Draft with Gaffer before the set → the Production Designer's Design the set first; Costume before a full length, Casting before a dressed look, Makeup before a render, Animate before a still, a chat or a run with no key — each to where that is made. A continuity veto names the departments that can fix it, and an empty breakdown offers to continue it.
ImprovedStudioOne ring for "press here". The buttons the project waits on (the Next step's, Approve, Add key, Continue breakdown) no longer breathe a soft glow: they carry the yellow ring of the first-scene guide, 6px out, rippling, until pressed.
FixedMakeupA phone photo goes into a makeup look. + under Reference photos of the condition — and Upload under a view — turned away a full-resolution phone picture over 12 MB, and said why at the very top of the window, far above the look you were working on, so pressing it seemed to do nothing. Such a photo is now made smaller on the way in (4096 px on its long edge), and a picture that still cannot be added — a format the browser cannot open — says so right under the button.
