Screens that say only what is true

The Shot window shows its take again on a laptop screen. Costume and Makeup follow the person you click, even while they are open. The sound sheet stops inventing a score for shots nobody spotted, and the delivery sheet stops promising a codec and stems the archive does not hold. The Producer's review no longer pretends to save. And every missing or refused key is described in one sentence that says where to connect it — with a key that renders but cannot read its balance called what it is: working. And before a video renders, the crew now reads its prompt against its references and offers a rewritten prompt where it would be refused — as advice, never a block.

A hand compares a notes page to pinned reference photos beside a laptop showing a paused film take, warm lilac-lit office
continuity table, playback restored, prompt checked against the pinned references
NewShotsThe prompt is read before a video renders. Animate a shot — Seedance or any other video model — or run a video model in Render, and the crew reads the prompt against the references first: a recognisable real person or a franchise character, gore, a reference used for something it does not show, instructions the model will get wrong. What it finds appears on the card that holds the render; when the prompt is what needs changing, it offers a rewritten one — Render with this prompt, Put it in the prompt box, or Render as written. It is a recommendation, not the provider's moderation: a request it passes can still be refused, and one it flags may go through. It never stops a render.
NewShotsChoose how a video is checked, and see what it costs. Among the video's settings, under bitrate, a check_materials row: Off, Claude (the read above — its tokens and the Producer's time, priced), or Seedance test — the same prompt and references sent to Seedance as a 4-second 480p clip, so its own filter answers before the full take is paid for. A refusal stops on the card with what it objected to; a pass costs the clip. The filter is not the same every time, so a pass means this time.
FixedHelpThe Studio tour no longer stops at a monitor that isn't there. On a new production its Program stop pointed at the monitor, which the First steps list stands in for until the first take; it now lights that place and says what stands there.
FixedShotsThe take is back in the Shot window on a laptop screen. Since the Decision panel arrived, a short screen squeezed the preview to nothing — no picture to see, and ★ Select, Retouch and the size badge hanging over the heading. The preview now keeps its height, and the window scrolls to what is below it.
FixedCostumeCostume and Makeup follow the person you click. With the window open, another person's track — or a crew card naming them — moves it to that person: what you typed is saved first, and a render in flight finishes before the window leaves. The header counts looks only once they have loaded; No looks yet appears only when there are none.
FixedSoundA shot nobody spotted says Not spotted. The sound sheet used to fill every row with the same leitmotif, key and tempo and sign it with names nobody chose; the timeline and the editing-timeline export carried that on. Now an unspotted row is empty, nothing is written out for it, and the sheet is signed by the Disciples on the production's sound and score seats — or by the roles, when none is.
FixedExportThe delivery sheet claims only what the archive holds. No ProRes 422 HQ · Rec.709, no separate stems: the format is the production's, and the sound is the one inside the rendered files.
FixedEditorThe Producer's review no longer pretends to save. Save review stored nothing; it is gone until reviews are recorded, and the Validation tab says the draft closes with the window.
ImprovedSettingsOne sentence for a missing key. Wherever a key is missing it reads the same — Drafting a prompt needs an Anthropic key. Connect yours in Profile → Keys & integrations, or add one for this production in Generation aggregator — and the link opens Profile on that section. A refused key says where to replace it.
FixedSettingsA fal.ai key that cannot read its balance still works — and now says so. Profile shows Works · balance not shown with a link to make a key with billing access; Costs and Render link to your balance on fal.ai; a production's own key reads Billed to Luria's key. No more balance: ADMIN key needed.
